Not-So-Last-Minute-Lariat Pattern Tutorial & Video

Updated: Mar 20, 2020

I've spent quite some time pondering how to showcase yarn as a lariat without it looking "too knitted". Playing around with stitches, out popped the "Not-So-Last-Minute-Lariat"!

Knit on 2 dpns, just 4 stitches wide and working only on the Right Side, this lariat is flat on the Right Side, while resembling an I-Cord on the Wrong Side. I chose Lion Brand Flikka yarn on purpose - the pop of colors break up the"knitted" look and picks up color from the pendant.

A very simple one line pattern to remember, the "Not-So-Last-Minute-Lariat" knits up quite fast. Lets get started....

Yarn & Label Review:

Flikka is a great basic summer yarn. Good stitch definition. Lovely colors and good price point. Take a close look at the label - it has inch markings on the side!
